Overview
Attrition trends require close observation in an HR Department. This project aims to make the trends and influential factors easy to follow.
Real-world Excel data used in Power BI for data preparation and an interactive dashboard creation.
Data preparation
Spelling errors and multiple uses of wording for one concept were corrected.
Strings were converted to numeric values in order to streamline the data with as much numeric data as possible.
DAX is used to create measures regarding attrition count and attrition rate.

Key Insights
There are 63 employees in the HR department with an attrition rate of 19%, mostly among the lower-income salary group.
There are 967 employees in the Research and Development department, with an attrition rate of 14%
The highest attrition rate of 21 % is in the sales department with a total of 450 employees.
Attrition is found over the whole spectrum of salaries.
Most attritions are in the age group of 26 -35 years.
Attrition is often found in researchers' job roles.
Business recommendation
Investigating aspects leading to attrition in the sales department may provide more insights.
More options to engage researchers should be explored.
